Opto Investments is a New York–based fintech platform that empowers wealth managers to access private market investments for their clients.  With over $225 million in funding, Opto simplifies complex investment processes by offering automated tools and access to high-quality private market opportunities, helping advisors deliver more efficient and transparent wealth management solutions.

Opto’s existing design system had become fragmented, visually outdated, and difficult to scale.  The lack of clear structure and consistency made it challenging for the design team to move quickly, test new ideas, or maintain visual cohesion across the product.  As the platform evolved, it needed a modern, unified design system that could grow with the product and reflect Opto’s reputation as a leader in fintech innovation.

To address these challenges, I led a complete redesign of Opto’s product design system, building a scalable and future-proof foundation aligned with modern fintech standards.  I conducted a full audit of the existing components, restructured the hierarchy, and established clear design principles to drive consistency and efficiency across the product.

Working closely with Opto’s in-house design team, I expanded the component library, simplified complex patterns, and introduced both light and dark modes to enhance flexibility and accessibility.  The result is a cohesive, intuitive design system that empowers the internal team to design and launch new features faster while delivering a more polished, seamless experience for wealth managers and investors.
